HOWTO - DIGITAL ILLUSTRATION LECTURE AT MERZ ACADEMY
A lecture at Merz Akademie, Research: Tutorial, Noob. Special Tag: High Level Folklore
This lecture for 1st/2nd grade students of Merz Akademie had two missions:
- 1. Illustrate a cultural important piece with a ordinary consumer design software (from google to microsoft) - if possible develop a little story around this piece.
- 2. Make a documentation of this process and put it as video on your YouTube channel.
Beside knowing every lesson another software, getting experienced with design tools and common functions/workflows the course sharpens the awareness of Today's cultural objects and reflects the student‘s approach to the design task.

Transfering Knowledge Through Teaching:
„A tutorial is one method of transferring knowledge and may be used as a part of a learning process. More interactive and specific than a book or a lecture; a tutorial seeks to teach by example and supply the information to complete a certain task. Depending on the context a tutorial can take one of many forms, ranging from a set of instructions to complete a task to an interactive problem solving session (usually in academia).“
