Painting and Poster for Lodown x Pointer Exhibition "Are we having fun?".
This version of Edward Ruscha's OOF painting is a direct response to the title of the exhibition: "Are we having fun?" By appropriating and overdoing an art piece, which supposingly generates its aura by comedic value slash fun, the OOF OOF version is showing the next generation, the simple but brutal approach of today's entertainment industries: the meme reign, recontextualisation as common fun-gesture. *

"Are we having fun yet?"
"Are we having fun yet?" is the most famous quote by bizarre, non-sequitur-spouting comic strip character Zippy the Pinhead.
It was coined in 1979 by cartoonist Bill Griffith as one of the typically strange comments by Zippy, and caught on with the general public.
